Cast At Location

One of the things that makes us unique at Shem Hake is our 'Cast At Location' service. We can make your jewellery anywhere in the world, whether its up a mountain or in the middle of an Ocean, within reason of course! 

Why do we offer this? Because we believe in sentimentality and understand that a lot of individual people or couples have their 'special places' like for example a place where your partner proposed to you. 

For this service our rings are cast using a process called 'sand casting' so we make a mould in wax, and then cast the rings in your favourite location. Every ring we make is also made in an area of outstanding beauty, you will see where next to the ring title. We do find that most of the rings we make are made in the beautiful cliffs of Cornwall. 

The whole process from making the mould to pouring the molten metal is done on location. This service gives your jewellery a truly unique beginning and unlike any other jewellery that is made within a workshop. We don't know anyone else that offers this service, as the logistical challenges are immense. 

Some of our cast at location areas have been in the Scottish Highlands, the coasts of Greece and Italy, the South coast of England, and even Lake Como! 

Most of our requests are wedding or engagement rings, in the locations where people have proposed. Which honestly is quite romantic. 

The cost for this service does of course vary, places in the U.K will be far less expensive than for example Italy and we will price this on an individual basis. Our charge for this service starts at £495 and this includes up to a 200 mile radius of Bristol. Anything out of this area will be charged differently, please contact us if this is the case and we can give you an exact amount.
