The 120km Tuscany Race - Chianti 2025.

After being defeated in Cornwall in the last race, I quickly found myself back on the start line of another race in Tuscany! A bit too soon after Cornwall, with no real recovery time. This was inevitably going to be a bad outcome and with 120km and over 5200 meters of elevation gain across rolling grape fields.

After only 10 miles I suffered with knee pain and hobbled along for around 90km before I had to pull out of the race. With only 20km to go! Very unlucky!

That was the end of that. But the experience was amazing, and I got to see some of the worlds best and famous ultra trail runners.

The next day I set myself up on a field just by Chianti and made 5 plain bands and one gemstone opal ring. All in wax, and now ready to be cast here in Notting Hill, London. These will go up once they have all been casted and finished off.

A fantastic experience, nothing beats racing abroad, especially in these big events.

All my focus and energy is going into training for UTMB Arc of Attrition again in January and with a planned move to be nearer to the mountain areas of Wales. Training will be completely different this time!
